Editorial profile

JUSTIN Vineyards & Winery farms Paso Robles' fossilized-limestone soils, planted first in 1981 by founder Justin Baldwin with the goal of making Bordeaux-style blends far from Bordeaux. That founding ambition still organizes the portfolio: Isosceles, JUSTIN's flagship since 1987, is a Cabernet Sauvignon-based blend built with Cabernet Franc and Merlot, joined by Justification (Cabernet Franc and Merlot) and the top-tier Isosceles Reserve.

JUSTIN also works the southern Rhône varieties long grown in Paso Robles — Grenache, Syrah, and Mourvèdre appear together in Trilateral, and Syrah on its own in Savant (paired with Cabernet Sauvignon) and Focus. Varietal Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Zinfandel, Malbec, Tempranillo, and Syrah round out the reds, with Sauvignon Blanc, Viognier, and Rosé among the whites and pinks; a Reserve tier sources Chardonnay and Pinot Noir from Russian River Valley fruit outside the estate. Winemaker Scott Shirley joined JUSTIN after thirteen vintages in Napa Valley.

Wines

25 of 25 wines link to the page they were read from. The list is what a producer publishes about itself, one citation at a time — it is not a catalog, and a wine missing from it is uncurated rather than unmade.
