Editorial profile

Bedrock Wine Co. is a Sonoma producer of old-vine, single-vineyard field blends, founded in 2007 by Morgan Twain-Peterson MW and now run with partner Chris Cottrell out of the Joseph Hooker House in the town of Sonoma. Its portfolio centers on heritage field blends — mixed plantings of Zinfandel alongside Petite Sirah, Carignan, Alicante Bouschet, Mourvèdre, Grenache and dozens of minor varieties, most inherited from 19th- and early 20th-century vineyards — sourced from the estate's own Bedrock Vineyard in Sonoma Valley and from a wide network of historic vineyards the winery farms or partners with across Contra Costa, Sonoma, Napa, Russian River Valley, Dry Creek Valley, Moon Mountain District and beyond.

Each vineyard's own stated planting mix, not a presumed varietal, is what the wine is bottled and labeled with. The estate's own Bedrock Vineyard is certified both Organic (CCOF) and Regenerative Organic; the winery farms its partner vineyards under the same practices without claiming their certification.

12 of 24 wines link to the page they were read from. The list is what a producer publishes about itself, one citation at a time — it is not a catalog, and a wine missing from it is uncurated rather than unmade.
