Editorial profile
Miramonte Winery sits in the heart of Temecula Valley, in Riverside County. Founded in 2001 when Cane Vanderhoof purchased and renamed the former Piconi Winery, the estate was immediately replanted to Syrah clones 383 and 470, and Vanderhoof went on to push Temecula's focus toward southern Rhône varieties before broadening the range further into Spanish and Portuguese grapes. The current lineup reflects that path: Syrah and Garnacha anchor the reds alongside proprietary blends (Bin 380, Opulente, 4-Torch Red, Mem. Reserve), Cabernet Sauvignon and Tempranillo, while the whites and rosé range from Riesling, Moscato, Albariño and Pinot Gris to the Iberian Verdelho, Touriga and Mencia.
