Editorial profile

Longboard Vineyards is a family-run winery in Healdsburg founded in 1998 by winemaker Oded Shakked, who discovered a hillside Syrah block on red volcanic soil while working as head winemaker at J Vineyards & Winery. The winery built its identity on single-vineyard Russian River Valley Syrah, since joined by a broad Rhône- and Bordeaux-leaning range: Pinot Noir and Chardonnay bottlings (including designates from the Rochioli Vineyard), Sauvignon Blanc, Albariño, Merlot, Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon, a rosé and two traditional-method sparkling wines, plus proprietary red blends. The Dakine Vineyard supplies a field-blend Syrah and a Merlot-Malbec bottling. The tasting room, a few blocks off the Healdsburg plaza, carries the brand's surf-culture identity through to a redwood surfboard bar.

22 of 22 wines link to the page they were read from. The list is what a producer publishes about itself, one citation at a time — it is not a catalog, and a wine missing from it is uncurated rather than unmade.
