Editorial profile

Michael-Scott Wines is a small, bonded winery (CA-BW #6421) on owner Michael Quinn's property in the Browns Valley area on the west side of the city of Napa, producing limited lots — typically 200–300 cases per wine, occasionally under 100 — since 1996. The core lineup pairs Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon from Mt. Veeder and Howell Mountain with a Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel, alongside two Madera County dessert wines (a vintage Ruby and a Tawny, in the Port style) and a North Coast sparkling Brut. A library selection Cabernet Sauvignon comes from the Kenefick Ranch vineyard in Calistoga. The winery is not open to the public and also runs a private-label division producing wine for outside clients.
