Editorial profile

Duckhorn Vineyards farms Bordeaux varietals in St. Helena, at the heart of Napa Valley. Co-founded in 1976 by Dan and Margaret Duckhorn, the estate built its identity on Merlot: the inaugural harvest drew fruit from Three Palms Vineyard, and Merlot has anchored the portfolio ever since alongside Cabernet Sauvignon.

The current lineup pairs estate-tier Napa Valley bottlings of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc with a deep bench of single-vineyard and sub-appellation wines — Three Palms, Rector Creek, Stout, Patzimaro, Monitor Ledge and To Kalon among the Cabernets and Merlots, plus Rutherford, Oakville, Atlas Peak, Howell Mountain and Stags Leap District designates. The Discussion, a Cabernet-led red blend, and Legacy Blanc, a Sauvignon Blanc–Sémillon white, round out the range alongside a Chardonnay-based Blanc de Blancs sparkling wine.

25 of 25 wines link to the page they were read from. The list is what a producer publishes about itself, one citation at a time — it is not a catalog, and a wine missing from it is uncurated rather than unmade.
