Perelli is an obscure red grape that the atlas could not match to any Foundation Plant Services or VIVC registry entry, leaving its origin and identity unconfirmed. California's CDFA crush data track it for six consecutive years, 2002 through 2008, entirely within a single crush district, with volumes always small, peaking at about 9.4 tons crushed in a year. It disappears from state reports after 2008 and left no bearing acreage on record. What survives is essentially a short, localized crush history with no further documentation tying it to a known variety.
