Editorial profile

Marcassin is an allocation-only Sonoma Coast winery founded by winemaker Helen Turley and viticulturist John Wetlaufer, known for single-vineyard, low-yield Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grown on steep, cool-climate ridgeline sites (including the estate Marcassin Vineyard). The wines are sold almost entirely through a mailing-list waiting pool rather than retail. The producer's own site (marcassinvineyards.com) is a single page carrying only a waiting-list sign-up form — no wine list, tech sheets, or estate history are published there, so the two entries above are recorded as editorial with no page to cite.
