Editorial profile

Chappellet is a family-owned winery founded by Molly and Donn Chappellet in 1967 on Pritchard Hill, a mountainous site at the eastern edge of Napa Valley bought at the urging of Beaulieu Vineyard's Andre Tchelistcheff. Cabernet Sauvignon is the estate's central focus, from the flagship Pritchard Hill bottling and the Signature Cabernet Sauvignon down to the mountain-fruit blend Mountain Cuvée and a varietal Cabernet Franc. The winery is also known for holding onto Chenin Blanc, an unfashionable variety it has grown since its earliest vintages, alongside a Merlot and a single-vineyard Chardonnay from the Grower Collection.

7 of 7 wines link to the page they were read from. The list is what a producer publishes about itself, one citation at a time — it is not a catalog, and a wine missing from it is uncurated rather than unmade.
